I have really enjoyed my personal training sessions with Natasha. She has a way of pushing you in such a pleasant manner that you hardly notice it. The exercises she gives you are varied and the guidance is always delivered in a clear and precise manner. Natasha encourages and coaches you through the routines with a professional, yet personal, style. The training sessions are a pleasure to go to and have helped me make a real step forward with my fitness.
I started post natal training with Melvin at Open Air Fit when my son was about three months old. I was keen to get back into shape but wanted to approach it sensibly – Melvin was able to adapt the sessions according to our individual abilities and general fitness levels whilst still pushing us to achieve great results. I really enjoyed meeting other mums and needed the motivation of having a weekly session in the diary (in all weathers)! I would definitely recommend Open Air Fit classes to any new mums who want a social and tailored approach to getting into shape for running around after your soon-to-be toddlers!
After School Groups
Melvin runs a brilliant after school football club which my six year old son attends. It is the highlight of his week! Melvin has an amazing ability to relate to kids. His passion and enthusiasm for football shines through and my son is totally inspired by him. From a parent’s point of view, I love the fact Melvin teaches them more than just football skills. He encourages respect, hard work, listening, turn taking and above all to try your best and have fun. My son absolutely loves his football lessons with Melvin and his skills have improved noticeably. He is professional to deal with and anyone that can get a bunch of excited six year old boys to listen, and channel their energy productively into disciplined football training gets my vote!
Kids Sports Parties
Thank you so much for a brilliant afternoon. So many boys, all from different areas – we knew they would have a real ball, and you’ve clearly inspired our two year old – toddler football yesterday was a real hit with her! As my son said, you notice every single child and not just the gifted ones. He was so thrilled with the shoulder lift and his football signed by all his mates, means a lot to him – thank you. “The best party ever” we overheard one of the boys saying and that was before the pizzas turned up!
Natasha is a wonderful fitness trainer who combines fun with some great interval training. She constantly changes the mix of exercises, circuits and stretches in order to challenge us and ensure the best results. She is also fantastic with people who have had different injuries, ensuring that every exercise we do is safe – something less perceptive trainers fail to do. It always amazes me how she is able to adapt her approach to each individual in a mixed ability class. Natasha is a superb teacher who communicates brilliantly and is wonderfully patient. She also makes exercise enjoyable!
Women’s Football Fitness
I have been doing football fitness with Melvin twice a week for five and a half years, never having played football before. Melvin is inspiring and he really knows his stuff. His classes are for all levels and they are a lot of fun. Each individual can work as hard as they like. Melvin is a great coach and he is always encouraging and enthusiastic.
Mel and his team at Open Air Fit have been part of the children’s life for years. My son has thrived in his football group with his old school mates, and my daughter has loved joining her big brother for every sports camp possible. In fact, her one request for her birthday this year was to have Mel run her party, which was a huge success. We love the Common and are so grateful to Mel for turning it into a space where the children can explore, learn and enjoy sport on every level. My children see Mel as a mentor and role model, and his team are unfailingly enthusiastic, professional and energetic. Thank you all!
Micah has taken part in the toddler sessions from the age of two and absolutely loves it. Come rain or shine the team are there running creative and fun-filled sessions with balls, nets, cones and other props. It has helped Micah gain confidence and coordination and meet new friends. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
Fit for Families
Working with Melvin as a family enables us to ingrain physical activity into our lives keeping Mum and Dad fit whilst spending time with our children and importantly acting as role models. All sessions are tailor-made to suit our needs even including goal keeping practice for our eight year old son!!
Our sessions are fun, hard work and give us all the benefits regular structured exercise has to offer.
